How to Become a GSSD Academy Institute

The GSSD Academy supports South-South initiatives by promoting knowledge-sharing. It brings together actors and knowledge to promote action. In this context, the main actors advancing South-South initiatives are centres of excellence. If you represent a well-established institution and share this goal, the GSSD Academy may provide you with tools, methods and institutional support for the establishment of a thematic institute of the GSSD Academy.

If you wish to be considered as a potential partner to establish an institute of the GSSD Academy:

  • Submit a short proposal for your institute (Concept Note or Business Plan) (to submit via e-mail, contact us);

If your proposal is favourably reviewed by the GSSD Academy project Board or a designated executive committee, we will contact you to further define the terms of our partnership and next steps.

  • Facilitate compliance with UNDP due diligence requirements for partnerships. These requirements vary for foundations, civil society organizations and the private sector. You will be requested to submit documentation attesting to your legal status, operations and capacities.
  • Formalize your institute's affiliation through an agreement with us or an exchange of letters.

If you are considering partnering with the GSSD Academy and would like to discuss this possibility further, contact us.
