Overview:

UNDP provides integrated technical assistance to more than 60 national parliaments in their efforts to: - build the capacity of legislators and technical staff; - promote institutional reform through strategic development plans; - strengthen parliaments' relationships with the executive and judiciary branches of government and with civil society; - enhance the effectiveness of women members of parliament and improve their ability to caucus and learn from one another. Responding to the expanding request for Parliamentary Support, UNDP’s Parliamentary Development Programme has created a roster of Parliamentary Development experts. The roster has been set up to gather information on a number of selec ted professionals who have substantial knowledge in various areas of expertise, and who are willing to be considered for long and short term assignments.
