How to Support a Solution Exchange

Solutions identified and documented through the GSSD Academy have the potential to further and substantially contribute to human development and the attainment of the MDGs if scaled up and shared across developing countries. For this reason, the GSSD Academy keeps a record of country-level requests to support solution transfers though knowledge-sharing, technology transfers, and/or joint analysis of the need for adaptation of a solution to local conditions.

The Institutes of the GSSD Academy are the main vehicles for supporting exchanges of solutions since they engage in theme-specific ongoing South-South operations. In addition, the 3-in-1 global South-South development architecture enables the marketing of solutions through the GSSD Expo and a transactional platform for exchanges through SS-GATE. The Academy continuously seeks financial contributions, parallel financing and in-kind resources to support the transfer of proven solutions.
